There are many people who come to Hiroshima City for work or sightseeing and want to keep their accommodation costs as low as possible. For such people, capsule hotels are an option.
Capsule hotels have the image of being simple lodging or men-only, but there are now some that have restaurants, various baths, and women-only floors.
There are about three capsule hotels in Hiroshima City, and we have compiled detailed information about each of them, including their features and contact information. We hope it will be helpful for your trip.
By the way, the three we are introducing here are all in the Yagenbori/Ginzanmachi area.
It takes about 10 minutes from Hiroshima Station by city train (any train except Hijiyama Line).
It takes about 10 minutes by train to Peace Park, about 60 minutes by train to Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima), and the area is close to department stores in Hacchobori, as well as many restaurants.
It is also a convenient place to go to various places in the city for business.
The first one we would like to introduce is the only capsule hotel in Hiroshima City where women can stay as of 2018.
Capsule Hotel CUBE

This is the newest of the three, having opened in July 2015. Looking at the website, the building and facilities are very clean and nice, with white and brown as the base color.
The most unique feature of this place is that it has a women-only floor. Women can stay here without any worries. Incidentally, when I called to confirm, a woman answered the phone and gave me a detailed explanation, which was very nice.
It is a little disappointing that there is no bathroom, only a shower room. Also, there does not seem to be a restaurant inside, but there are many places to eat and drink tea in the neighborhood, so it is not a problem.
The fact that women (and men, of course) can stay here easily is a big advantage!

These are so-called “connected capsules,” but as seen on the website, they seem to be a little wider than standard capsules. They are very inexpensive, so they can be used not only for lodging, but also for a short rest.
In-room facilities: power outlets, free Wi-Fi, toothbrushes, towels, and indoor clothes.
Lockers are on the floor. There is no TV in the capsule. There is a large TV in the lounge. - Deluxe Cabin [Men’s floor, Women’s floor]
The bedding in the deluxe type is Tempur electric reclining bed. They seem to be more comfortable than beds in regular capsules. The entrance has a thick accordion curtain, but the high ceiling gives a sense of openness, almost like a private room.
In-room facilities: TV/power outlet/free Wi-Fi/locker with key/side table/tooth brush/towel/house clothes
Each room is equipped with a TV, locker, desk, and chair. Beds are Tempur electric beds.
Women-only floor has amenities for women such as cleansing, face wash, milky lotion, lotion (POLA), etc. - Private Cabins [Men’s floor and Ladies’ floor].
A type of capsule plus a desk, chair, and personal locker. It can be described as semi-private room-like. With personal space, you can work, organize your luggage, or just take a rest. The capsule is a horizontal mutual type, which is designed to reduce noise from neighbors. - Room facilities: TV / power outlets / free Wi-Fi / lockers with locks / side table / toothbrush / towels / house clothes
Each room is equipped with a TV, locker, desk, and chair.
The women-only floor has amenities for women such as cleansing, face wash, milky lotion, and lotion (POLA).
Check-out time is 12:00, which is very relaxing. Furthermore, by putting your card key in the return box, you can conveniently leave without stopping by the front desk.

Grand Sauna Hiroshima

This sauna is located in a corner called “Naka-shinchi,” one street east of Nagaregawa-dori, the entertainment district of Hiroshima. It is a short walk after having a drink in the city center, and a 5-6 minute walk to the Fukuya Department Store in Hacchobori. It is also very convenient from a business point of view, as you can take the city train to anywhere you want to go.
This is one of the largest capsule hotels and saunas in the Chugoku region. It has been open for about 17 years.
The regular interconnected capsules are the standard I know of. They are not spacious, but enough for sleeping.
The private room capsules are larger than the standard capsules, have thick accordion curtains at the entrance, and are small but have a desk, chair, and locker. It is convenient for business and a relaxing time.

This is a long-established sauna established 48 years ago. It was originally a very famous sauna. Even today, there are various saunas, so if you are looking for a bath & sauna, this is a fun place to be.
The business room is a completely private room with a lock on the door, and is almost the same as a business hotel, only there is no bathroom inside. So 4,970 yen is reasonable. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m., which is also nice for those who want to relax.
I called to confirm this as well, and the response was pleasant.
